The Shabaaz is easily the best Indian restaurant in Aberdeen. My husband and his friends have been going here for 30 years, it’s that good. Now all our family agree and keep returning. It’s always consistently fantastic food and the service is brilliant too. The waiters are all great. Best meal out guaranteed.

Ok first off, I have never seen a garlic and chilli naan quite as big as the one we were presented with. So if you’re hungry, this is the place to be. Having not visited Shahbaaz before we decided to opt for a few different dishes that were highlighted to us by our server on the night. The food was outstanding and genuinely I couldn’t fault it (apart from one or two elements of the mixed starter being slightly over cooked). The only thing - and it’s a very minor thing - that let this place down for me was the lack of atmosphere. However, we did dine in on a Tuesday night, so to can imagine the weekend would be much busier and buzzing with chatter. All in all a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Aberdeen.
Slow service for a quiet mid week evening. Breads were over done. Over priced compared to other places I've ate at in same area.
This is, by far, my favourite Indian Restaurant of all time. Such fantastic meals and curries served from mild to spicey. The atmosphere is fabulous, staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, and I always leave with a smile on my face. The prices are a little on the expensive side, but certainly worth it. All meals are cooked to order and they offer take out options too.
