Following a telephone conversation to confirm he had the correct part in stock, I arrived only to find it wasn't what I'd asked for. He then proceeded to argue with me, in the shop and in the street. Probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. If I wanted to be treated like a resident in Fawlty Towers, I would have found a Basil closer to where I live. I will never go back. No wonder most people use Amazon and the high street is suffering. You'd have thought he'd appreciate the custom after lock down.

Got a roof rack fitted here and they did everything for me, which was great. Booked it in a few weeks ago and they ordered in the parts, they kept me updated throughout the day by phone about when it would be ready.

Haven’t had a great experience via email with Motor Mate. Found them via Thule’s official dealer locater as I was after an awning for my van. I was told they had been away and they were catching up on emails and I should expect a response later that day - but after several gentle chases later I still haven’t had a reply. Made contact back in May and still haven’t had a response. I ended up purchasing elsewhere unfortunately.
Motormate did a fantastic job fitting a tow bar to my Ford Mondeo estate. Very polite - tidy everything worked as it should all lights - battery charging in caravan when on tow and fridge light on indicating that all was connecting up okay. Not only that but after they had gone I rang them up because I had a rear bulb warning come up on the dash board and I thought it was something to do with their wiring (car had not bleeped and warning had not come up previously). Anyway I went to Halfords who checked it out, yes bulb blown. I turned on the ignition and off went the bleep and warning again. I thought oh no - definately something wrong - but the person at Halfords said just try driving around a bit and the message should dissappear. Do you know they were right - it did! But by the time I had got home Motormate were there to make sure everything was alright NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE - NO FOBBING OFF, NOTHING! BRILLIANT - the bulb episode was just a complete coincidence!
