We asked for a special snooker table that would function also as a large dining table. We received a work of art. The table was designed with careful attention to the competing needs of good playing snooker, and also good as a large dining table. The table was built with the absolute best Welsh slates and with total care and attention to detail over a two day period. The levelling of the table was done carefully and with precision. Turns out that the best levelling shims are actually beer mats! Who would have thought - but they are thin and incompressible and it works very well. Alan was thoroughly professional and responsive to our post-installation questions. The table is playing perfectly still. I would recommend Alan to you without any hesitation. A Phillips table is a good table.

I couldn't be happier with my table. Alan made a world class table, paid great attention to all the detail, and delivered it personally and assembled it for me. It plays beautifully, and everyone who visits the house comments on the fine craftsmanship and elegance of the table. Now I just need to decorate the room, to do the table justice.
Overall the quality looks nice but when it comes down to it the table isn't put together properly. Pockets don't align, pocket leather used is very cheap material and cut unevenly. Tables aren't adjustable like other high quality ones, Alan used beer mats to level the table off... Pool table was delivered by two guys that did not have the strength between them to lift the table top, they ended up damaging the cloth and it took 2 months before Alan finally came up to replace it, he then used a marker to put the snooker and pool markings on the cloth, no surprise that even after we left it a day or two to dry the ink smeared and started to disappear. Spend the extra money and use somewhere else, the quality is good the the workmanship is poor, measure twice and cut once is the saying, they don't do that here.
I purchased a snooker table approximately 18 months ago and for almost 10 of those months i have been trying to have Alan back to sort out a problem where the slate has separated and caused a ridge in the table. Many emails and promises and still no repair. Such a shame as the table is well made. This to Alan Phillips is probably only a small repair but to me an unusable table
