Nice little restaurant with a view of the street and the water. The food is nothing special, and the selection is limited. Prices are on the high side here, and portions are Japanese sized, so hit up the bakery across the street for some dessert.

Meal was delicious and the view quite nice. Service was reasonable. However, the dishes are quite pricy (around 1700-2000 yen).

The katsu pork was super crispy with a sauce to go with it. The salad on the side was refreshing with a salty sesame dressing to accompany it. If the spots are all taken make sure to write your name on the waiting sheet. Very friendly staff!

Staff is not that kind. Food does not have any taste. Only miso soup was ok.

Nice for and fast service. The pork was crispy. A bit on the pricey side though.

There is a sign that says in the event the seats are fully occupied, please put your details down for waiting list. But really the sign should say, even if half the seats are empty you still have to wait because we dont know what we are doing. This review is only to do with the customer service, we didn't even go in.

Prices are really high and portions are small. Ordered a tea which was 400 yen and the cup was barely half full. Asked for more hot water which would cost them nothing but they refused. Girlfriend ordered a latte and it was also half empty. When she asked for some extra milk they refused. We didn't touch our drinks and voiced our complaints and wanted to cancel the order. But they insisted that we had to pay. A total joke and would advise you avoid like the plague unless you enjoy being ripped off.

Upstairs from a souvenir shop, this is a tidy little soba shop in Motohakone. There is a 5% discount for using the Hakone free pass if you have it, but the prices aren't cheap. Nevertheless, the food is good and the service is pretty quick. There are some nice window views of the lake as well. They have high chairs and baby changing in the women's toilet. All in all, a dependable place to go but you could probably find cheaper food in Motohakone.
