We recently added a couple of rooms on to a home in central Austin. all of the inspectors that I dealt with were polite, on time, and made commonsense suggestions. The suggestions made were for the betterment of the project, increased safety and sensible. The one suggestion that I considered marginal was simply a judgment call and was done with good intent. Prior to this project I had heard all kinds of horror stories- none of which came true related to these inspectors.

AUSTIN IS GROWING VERY FAST BUT THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE AT CITY INSPECTIONS ARE VERY KIND AND NICE I ENJOYED WORKING WITH THEM.

I called because I Needed information on the Austin building code , and they were very pleasant on the phone , it will take some time to get information on the code but they are doing the best they can with the resources at hand.

Check you voice mail. Why are we transferred, constantly, to phone numbers that the mail boxes are full. Chat says we need to come in. Why do you have chat? phone says we need to come in. or no answer. Why have a phone? web site says its best to come in . Why have it? Your behind on everything because you work on Chat, phones, and web site That should just have large type. JUST COME IN. We we get there you direct us to chat, phone , and web site saying the next time it will solve our problems and we wont have to fight traffic. ?????? really????

We work really hard with our to provide the best experience, follow the guidelines and do as the city requires, we pass rough in and electrical wants us to do something more, it's getting rediculous, the rudeness and attitudes of the inspectors are horrendous. They expect you to wait around for days until they show up, come unprepared and then talk to you like you are a crook and a liar.
