Amazing haven just outside Barking town centre

Smell of sewage and abandoned place. As it is in the middle of the sewage works plant its not clear where you can walk or not. Need urgent maintenance.

This is a very unloved and run down place. Messy paths, litter, knocked down fences and graffiti. Definitely not worth the 5 minutes it took to walk round. No nature to be seen (which is not surprising) and a persistent smell of sewage.

Nice but theres lingering smell there due to sewage and the dirty river

A special place, and anything that makes people say Barking is beautiful deserves a visit. It's a bit of a trek to get there, and the path is overgrown with brambles but the views are superb. Make sure you get to the mouth of the Roding as you get a unique perspective on the Thames. You feel like you are far from London and civilisation but are but a stroll away from the tube. Enjoy!
