My experience at Blackbird was amazing, I went there with couple of friends last weekend, the host was a bit rude but our waitress was amazing! She had the biggest smile on her face and made sure we had everything. The restaurant was packed and she did her best to give us an amazing experience! Sarena you're the best thank you for making our night so enjoyable!

first of all we used to love going to this place. feels like management has gone down hill. I have had good experiences with afew staff member there bar tenders and others but we went there over the weekend and it just looked all over the place with the management, I have worked in hospitality and to witness the manager treat the staff the way he did was the biggest turn off out of all for me and my whole table not planning on going back again! from my experience hospitality workers can get mistreated and I feel like it's more of a give and get game "you treat them good they will serve you well" now if the staff themselves are not even getting well treated by the manager how can we costumers expect to be served well
Had an amazing breakfast on Easter Saturday with my partner. The food was incredible but also wanted to give a special mention to Juliet our waitress. She was so friendly, kind and made our experience! Highly recommend
What a lovely Saturday we had! My family and I would like to thank Sarina for her kind service. The restaurant was packed and very busy, yet she never failed to do her work and reached everyone giving her full attention. She also chatted with my daughter and gave her a great advice since they attend the same Uni, what a lovely coincidence! She was amazing and her lovely energy just made our Saturday better, I hope she sees this. Thank you Sarina!
Popped in for happy hour yesterday. Their 8 cocktails were good with a side of sweet potato chips. Nice seating area with good views. Staff were ok, casual atmosphere, fair prices.
I really had a great time at Blackbird Cafe with my friends. Staff were so accommodating especially Yvette and Mark. So friendly! Food was great too. Try Chicken Espatada and their noodles. We enjoyed it with the view! Will definitely come back.
What an amazing service we had on this Saturday night by the most friendliest staff member by far in a long time. Juliet was amazing not that she was only there to serve she was also very funny and pleasant and always there when we needed something. She had an infectious smile the entire night she really looked like she wanted to be there. I personally think Juliet is a great asset to your business and its not something we see now days. Once again Juliet i hope you see this review just know that you were awesome :)
Whilst the location of this cafe/restaurant is excellent, the quality of food is not so good. We had guests visiting from Melbourne and trying to show them the beauty of Sydney, we decided to go to Darling Harbour for a nice meal. It took approximately 30 minutes for us to get the attention of a waiter. As this was on a public holiday, I completely understand that it can take time, however, service proved to be consistently be an issue throughout the meal. We ordered: - salt and pepper squid - tasted good - arancini balls - tasted good - classic caesar salad - average - pork ribs - do not order - avoid!! - pan fried salmon - tasted great - kids spaghetti - average - tropical pizza (with pepperoni instead of ham) - beyond average - avoid Drinks were great but arrived 20 minutes after the food. Food tasted old and was far from enjoyable. Paying 10% surcharge on a public holiday is usually fine, however, if the food is terrible and service equally as bad, it definitely isn't great. I gave the feedback to the restaurant and they were receptive to it and assured me they would pass this on to the Chef. So hopefully the restaurant is able to improve the food quality as I would love to visit again for it's ideal location.
