First in selling my Westerly Pagent and then providing guidance when purchasing my new boat and most recently in providing an insurance valuation for my new boat. Just before the Coronavirus Lockdown we asked Mike de Graaf, of BoatShed Wales, to find us a new owner for FreeSpirit of Emsworth, our Moody 30. Clearly under lockdown conditions all progress was interrupted. However, Mike kept in touch with us and as soon as lockdown conditions eased in the marina environment, Mike was up and running with his massive brokerage enthusiasm and very hands-on approach. In the shortest possible time, Mike had photographed every aspect of FreeSpirit imaginable, and assessed a fair market value. Within hours FreeSpirit appeared in the BoatShed Wales Web site. Within a few days some viewings were arranged, and under the strict social distancing regulations possible buyers were viewing FreeSpirit. Suddenly one Tuesday morning, a couple arrived unexpectedly to view another boat, which was suddenly withdrawn from sale. Mike introduced them to FreeSpirit currently at her mooring. The couple were interested and Mike set up the transfer of FreeSpirit to a nearby marina, lift out, scrub down and survey all in the following day and by Friday am an acceptable offer was made and agreed. Mike's enthusiasm, organisation, planning and control of the whole process was simply stunning. All the documentation and transfer arrangements went through very swiftly. BoatShed Wales had a very satisfied customer and FreeSpirit had two happy new owners. Our gratitude to Mike and BoatShed Wales for such a professional and helpful service. I have dabbled for two or three years marketing my boat through free web pages with little success. I placed my boat with Mike down at Boatshedwales and had 4 viewings in as many weeks and she is now SOLD. I can only put this down to the way these guys do their expert marketing. Mike and the guys down there are really Helpful and easy to talk to. They are busy in the yard and are watchful of the boats in it. I will certainly use Boatshedwales in future.
