Bourne Airport is a former WWII Heavy Bomber Aerodrome which included Lancasters. Today the larger parts are overtaken with a container business. One of the main runways is still intact and visible; a few meters away is a grass airstrip that runs parallel and is used as the modern day Bourne Airport. There is plenty of history here. Helicopter flights are carried out here, near the old 1960's control tower. The overall aerodrome is intact just taken up with businesses. You get a sense of just how big this aerodrome was and is. Worth a visit. Even in this state I still give it 5 stars and my personal rating is 8/10. History is important.
