I began piano lessons, in Bristol, with Katy in early 2014. Due to Katy's enthusiastic and positive personality, my piano lessons never fail to be enjoyable. Also, Katy's teaching is very helpful and effective. Every lesson I have with her results in substantial progression and development of my musical ability and interest. Katy's passion for music is truly infectious; creating a super atmosphere, during lessons, to indulge in music. After achieving grade seven in piano with her, I am now working towards grade eight.

Katy has been my voice coach for the past 6 months and has been incredibly patient with me as I was most certainly a beginner when I started with Bristol Music Tuition!! Katy has helped boost my confidence massively & encouraged me to work with other musicians to develop my singing further – Something I wouldn’t have considered earlier in the year! She is extremely professional, yet approachable & friendly. She is very knowledgeable in her field which makes me feel secure in my choice of tutor. I would highly recommend her services as a musician and tutor & will be continuing to use Bristol Music Tuition for the foreseeable future.
I always look forward to my singing lessons in Bristol with Katy. She is an excellent teacher who is always encouraging and has a knack of showing me ways of improving my sound without making me feel bad about the way I was doing it before. She never asks me to do something without demonstrating and making sure I can hear the difference first. Her explanations are always clear and understandable and if one way doesn’t work for me she will try another. I’ve really enjoyed working on a wide repertoire covering a lot of different styles of music and vocal technique and my confidence has increased immeasurably in the few months I have been having lessons. Katy is incredibly bubbly and so knowledgeable about music. She is helping me expand my moderate keyboard and piano skills while just starting beginner vocal sessions. I'm pretty sure I'm in the top 10 of world's worst singers, but in a short time of practicing I think I've already made it down the list to only top 50. Her patience puts me at ease but she also pushes me when she knows I can do something. Just don't hog all her time if you take her up as a teacher, I want to keep her my secret (oops).
I play guitar but I'm by no means a good singer, so I contacted Bristol Music Tuition for some lessons to help me improve my vocals. Katy is a brilliant teacher. She has a vast knowledge of music, but beyond this, has a very relaxed, non-judgemental style which put me at ease straight away and meant that I was happy to demonstrate my terrible voice without feeling embarrassed! The pace of the lessons is perfect and means that I always feel challenged but never beyond my ability. Through Katy's sound and simple practical exercises, explanations and demonstrations of technique and relevant theory, my singing has improved immensely in a short period of time. I would have no hesitation in recommending Katy and Bristol Music Tuition.
