Well Done Caldor Solar Team...From My first Initial phone enquiry with Roy Connor ( Engineer) through to Installation of 24 PV Solar Panels yesterday.Most professional Solar company by a country mile....Highly experienced, Professional and efficient. I contacted over 10 companies and Caldor were the only company to come out to do a thorough assessment of my property and design a system Suitable. I felt at ease and comfortable from start to finish and highly recommend Caldor Solar.
When I decided to install the PV system at home, I quoted with several companies. The sales representative of most companies give you generic information and some kind of \ set up packs\ with some generic information why that pack is the best. When I got the visit of from Caldor Solar and they were BY FAR the most technical guys, setting up a TAILORED SYSTEM for my needs and explaining why they were doing that. Thanks to Roy and Eoin! I got 17 panels installed on my semi detached house, with a 3.5kWh battery, plus an Eddi diverter (for the hot water), joining my already installed Zappi charger. THE RESULT WAS FANTASTIC! I was thinking the system would pay for itself in 8-9 years, but with the tailored system designed by Caldor Solar, my system will be paid in no more than 5 years! And why I say that? Because they turned my house into a mini power station. For example, our daily needs of electricity is around 14 kWh per day. Yesterday (in the middle of December 2020) we had about 3-4 hours of sunshine in the middle of clouds, a typical winter day, and my system generated 7kWh!!! 50% of daily usage DURING WINTER is incredible! That's why during the summer I'm sure I will be generating 100-120% my daily needs! I am very happy with my system installed by Caldor Solar and if you want to have a top service like I did, you should choose Caldor Solar for your PV system. I'm very happy with the service I received. I went with Caldor initially because they provided a number of systems to work with the solar panels, includind e-car charger, and solar powered immersion. Quotation and plan for work was clear. The whole installation took a work day. Work was quick and clean. The first electricity bill after install was essentially zero, and we have had hot water at all times, even now with the nights closing in. Hassle free and well worth the investment, I have no hesitation to recommend based on my experience.
I contacted Roy the engineer from Caldor Solar after hearing about their systems from my parents. He was highly efficient and straight to the point - none of my questions were left unanswered. Very impressed with the installation crew (they were in and out in 24 hours). Would highly recommend Caldor Solar.
we had been thinking about getting solar panels in for a while and other companies we called were just business and mater of fact. Roy came to the house and went through the entire process and what would be best suited for our property there was no hard sales push just good honest advice, they took care of all the paperwork and we were told it would probably be after Christmas before we would get them installed (which was fine) , got a call on Monday to say they had a cancellation and if we wanted that they could come Tuesday. they arrived at 1.40 on Tuesday and were like busy worker bees just getting it done with little or no disturbance to me lovely bunch of lads they had the panels up that day and then just a bit of the internal electrics to finish off in the morning. they left the place as tidy as it was when they came . we were shown how the app works and on the dull day that was Wednesday we were still generating some power. I will update my review in a few weeks once i can comment further on the power generation etc but I am extremely pleased with the service received from initial consultation to final fit out.
I first dealt with Roy who outlined the project without the usual sales pitch you usually get from companies. When the team came out they were just as professional as Roy. The job was for 20 panels and the lads were on site at 7.30 as promised and did not leave until the job was done at 20.30. There was no mess when the lads left as they took everything with them. I can not recommend Caldor highly enough and even the after sales care and follow up has been faultless. Proof of their high standards was that the hot water diverted broke down on a Friday afternoon and 1 of the team was out on the Saturday morning with a replacement. If you are considering solar panels then I would recommend Caldor every time.
I was totally happy with the service provided by Caldor. From the initial phone contact, house assessment visit and installation of the solar panels. Communication with the company was ongoing and supportive and everything was explained clearly and in simple terms. Dates were agreed upon and adhered to and all members of the team were professional, friendly and efficient! We are delighted with our 14 solar panels which are supplying almost 100% of our electricity needs. We have constant piping hot water also which is wonderful!! I can recommend Caldor Solar without reservation and would be happy to talk to anyone considering solar panels.
