Used to be a lot better. This is the experience from a recent visit (Aug 2020). It's Covid time, so the idea should be that all operations should be as fast and safe as possible. We landed at 7PM on a flight from Heathrow. The arrival passport check was unmanned and closed, same thing for the e-gates. After 25 minutes during which 200 people were stuffed in the small waiting area, with no chance to so any social distancing, finally 3 policemen arrived. One was manning the e-gates, that were finally turned on, and the other two processed the rest of the queue very, very, very slowly. It took one hour to get to the baggage belts, and that's after a 1,5 hours flight. 10 days later, on the way back to London, the check-in process for 70 people took 70 minutes because the only 2 workers at the desk had to go through and forth to the oversize baggage belt due to lack of more personnel. We had to return a trolley but the only return place had been moved outside of the terminal, forcing us to find the only \one way exit\, go out, find the trolley rack, go back through the only one way entrance, and finally go through security. Boarding was moved to 50 minutes before flight so we had to bag the hot food we managed to buy and rush to the gate. The \duty free\ is stupidly overpriced, selling for over 30 euros some wine bottles that would cost 6 euros in a supermarket. The feeling is that the airport is understaffed and that nobody cares about giving customers a good experience. Horrible, just horrible.

On Saturday only one café is open with a low quality coffee. All services and shops including pharmacy were closed! Seems like italians don't need any money again. Empty airport, nothing to do in the flight attendance.
Small airport, well stocked with duty free. Unfortunately poor signage for airport lounges.
I cannot understand people (most foreign) complaining about Verona airport (they should look at their own country airports), yes certainly it is not Heathrow Airport, but i would not call it a small airport, it has all the necessary facilities for an international airport, food places, shops, seating and all the necessary indication, I use it to go to London with BA, a good service.
Only a bar sells water and some vending machines. There were two flight at the moment with people having nowhere to sit because of the Covid 19.
