Utterly dreadful. 10 minutes on hold as \Caller Number One\ then a brusque and unhelpful receptionist. Have had much better service in the so called Third World.

I've been registered at Overton Park Surgery for the last twenty years and have found the service offered to me by the doctors, the nurses, and the administrative staff to be very good. The staff here manage to be project a relaxed professionalism and deliver super person-centred care.

This review is only aimed at 2 reception staff. The first impression you get is from whoever greets you or picks up the phone to answer your query, on 2 occasions I’ve had the worst experience customer service related! One experience was with a red haired lady medium hair length and wore glasses, I came to the surgery needing to pick up my repeat description for some tablets which help my Crohn’s disease conduction, she told me the prescription was sent to a Waitrose pharmacy which I never arranged, so went to pick them up from Waitrose only to be told they have never received anything from the surgery! So went back to the surgery and explained just to be told come back in a few days . No apology no acknowledgement of their wrong doing, and at the time I was recovering from a wound opening up from a surgery I have 6 weeks prior. The second experience was with a short stocky lady with short hair. She picked up the phone with the most unapproachable tone and asked me what I wanted. Started to explain that my colostomy supplies have been changed through the external company I use which automatically updates there system, and I was advised to call the surgery to double check the prescription went through. Just to be told we need a letter from the hospital. Which they received 2 letters prior to this. Getting frustrated that the lady I was talking to wouldn’t help me at all I called my specialist stoma nurse and they said that the Overton Park surgery reception team have been VERY IGNORANT in the past about medical appliances, and that they are black listed in there books. Sais it all really. But the nurses are amazing! And the doctors are too! Cannot fault them! BUT your reception team are the ones that deal with the public the most. They need to be willing to help and listen to the patients needs and carry out The correct way to deal with that particular situation which in my case has not happened.
