A beautiful place to visit and walk around the outside as the inside was having work done. The information boards dotted around give a good insight to the buildings sad past. Well worth a visit.

Its been a long time since I visited here, sadly you can no longer walk through the house, BUT this is because they have now decided to try and save the frescoes and original features which are still surviving. Wonderful view of Bolsover Castle and surrounding area. The dogs enjoyed this walk for a change, as did I. Free entry, plenty of parking, although check the times for when the gates get locked as dusk come early now, I don't want anyone to get locked in!

Empty shell of a once grand house. This can be seen from the M1 motorway. Peaceful walks around this area.

This place is small manor house I ever seen but overall it is good. You will think you are in high place. It is completely free with or without English Heritages membership even car park is also free. You can't go inside the house only outside but I recommend that you visit this place.

Easy parking and good to walk round the outside as access to the inside is now fenced off. You can still see the famous plaster on the walls.
