I found a few old violins while cleaning out my grandmother's house. Since I knew at least one was an antique from the mid 1800s I wanted to make sure they were in good hands. A quick Google search showed A 440 had the best rating with the most reviews (and they were correct). I brought the violins to the store for an appraisal and immediately felt comfortable leaving them there to be fixed. Andrew and Michael were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. I left the instruments with them for repair/restoration and they did a spectacular job; the violins look and sound beautiful now. As a bonus I got a tour of the shop and their many gorgeous antiques. I wouldn't even think about going anywhere else for my string instrument needs. 5 stars is an understatement. I can't thank the team there enough.

What a great place, My son came from the south side to get his violin fix which they did right away at the moment, They also gave him a tool so in case that happens again he can fix it himself, But the most important thing was that they did not charge him a single penny! What a great people,, When some other places take advantage of you because you don't know anything and they ripp you. Thanks to everyone who works in this shop and God bless your business .

This is a great shop, whether you plan on upgrading your instrument or bow, or you're just stopping in for some rosin. Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable. They're instrument inventory is much larger than the website indicates (as they're currently updating it). Overall, it's one of the best experiences I've had in a music store!

We brought my son's violin to be fixed just now. The nice.gentleman fixed the violin in a jiff and gave the voilin back without charging us. What a gift! Thank you, A440!
