Delicious food! Everything shown in picture was 750 yen if I remember correctly. Boyfriend and I were staying at a hotel near Imoya Annex and found this gem on Google. We came three times - once at 7:00 pm (big mistake), another at 11:20 am (big mistake x2), and then finally at 11 am and got in within 20 minutes into opening. It seems to be a very popular spot and I can see why. Tempura was light and you can't beat the price. Only 8 seats, bar like seating. I was a bit worried about the communication as we don't speak Japanese but I pulled up a Google reviews picture and all was good. 5 stars!

Excellent local Tempura! Cheap and yum and the old master is very cool. Can get the real taste of general tempura and not the fancy expensive ones.
5 star in terms of price performance. More than 4 star if compare with others of much higher prices. Miso soup is best I have tasted. Tempura portion is large by normal std. the sauce is excellent. Only 8 seats so better either go late afternoon . We arrived at 2:40pm n edited for 5 minutes
The best Imo-ya in every aspect. Actually, other Imo-ya are closed, it's the only Imo-ya. They don't accept reservations, so you need to lined up and wait. Taste, atmosphere, service and reasonability. Wonderful place worth wait. There are only 8 seats available, so you need to come ALONE. There are some low rating reviews on this place, but these are not about this place. They don't know where they are reviewing.
