Closest Marina to Atlanta from 400. Excellent docks and service. Been there about 7 months. Marine max does all our service which is a huge plus.

I've been coming to this marina since my dad moved here in 1996. It's the closest one to Atlanta, by far. It's quiet; unfortunately they have a boat sales showroom where you'd expect a restaurant to be, so there's no live band, no restaurant seating with a view, and unfortunately the restaurant is basically sitting in a parking lot. Odd setup. BUT, this odd setup keeps a lot of party folks away. So it's not a great place if you want to socialize and hang out as there really isn't infrastructure for that. But it's quiet, and the staff are really nice, and the location is nicely shielded from the body of the lake so very little waves. People generally respect the no-wake zone, and it's a pretty chill place to be and keep you boat! The docks themselves are older (guessing 1960s?) so they're not wide, and so you won't find many people hanging out on the dock with TVs and tables and whatnot like you'll see at some other marinas on the lake as there's just not room for that. But if you're looking for a convenient place to keep your boat that's close to Atlanta? You found it. The restaurant here has GREAT BBQ food!! I usually get a few sammys from the owner Rudy on my way out.
