It was a perfect weather day! Our tour guide was great and well informed. The walking tour was just long enough (a tad over an hour) and very manageable for a perso who has limited mobility. Their trail is made from recycled tires and it feels amazing under foot (helps control impact on one's knees for sure!). I highly recommend this tour!

I went with two other birders. It was a very quick visit tacked onto a trip down to Bladen County. Moores Creek National Battlefield is immaculate and kept in pristine condition. There are expansive hardwood trees and a lot of open space. The path is covered in soft material, almost as if you're walking on carpet. I would love to go back some day, and highly recommend putting this park on your list of places to go if you're planning to be in the area.

I don't know what's open with Covid. I snuck around the gate, got a brochure, a stamped paper for Susan's passport and walked it. This is a very significant Revolutionary War site. One of the major early victories. Captured 800 loyalist and 15000 about 14 million dollars today, and put Cornwallis and Howell to flight.

Park Ranger Jason was great! We learned so much from him. Neat place to explore. NC is so rich in history.

Nice small National Site with friendly Park Rangers and volunteer staff. Great small trail to walk with excellent outdoor plaques. It is a dog friendly NP; my dog became an official B.A.R.K. Ranger. The NP is off the beaten path but it is a great place to visit.

A pretty nice lil Revolutionary War battle site that's kinda out in the middle of no where. The history trail around the battlefield is really nice with lot of monuments, memorials and a long boardwalk over the creek. The Visitor Center is also pretty nice with a friendly staff that has a lot of knowledge of this particular battle.

Nice short easy walk and interpretive trail tells the story of the Battle of Moores Creek. Don't expect to be blown away by the battle itself, but an important stepping stone in the Battle for Independence. Say hi to the guy in overalls walking his dog.

We took our dog for a hike at Moores Creek National Battlefield. The park commemorates the Battle of Moores Creek, a pivotal patriot victory over British loyalists just prior to the start of the Revolutionary War. The visitor center was closed when we visited but the monuments and signage brought the battle to life hiking along the 1-mile trail. The area is very swampy so prone to flooding and recommend visiting in winter before the bugs come out.
