My Wife and I spent Valentine's Day . What can I say everything thing was perfection! Tao is something else.. everything was excellent from the host to our waitress and the food just WOW we could not stop ordering. All the food was incredible. Who ever is running the show know what they are doing.

All around awful. Food was laughably bad and crazy overpriced. I don't understand how people say there is a good atmosphere.. Service was pretty nonexistent although they did give us a discount because of how overcooked my steak was.
Always friendly service. A great place to have a bite and chill out after a hard work day. A place for the true hard working Alaskan. Or a calm night away from home visiting the great North. If you want box store style food this is not that. If you want a wonderful place to kick back have a great bite to eat and a conversation without having to talk over all the noise look no further. It doesn't take 20 years and 4 visits to like the elf's den. It takes an ability to read the menu understanding there is no dessert on the menu.
I love coming to the Elf’s Den, I’ve lived in the area for 20 years and this is one of my favorite places. The staff has always been super friendly! It’s a smaller restaurant and they treat me like family. The food is good, the drinks are great and their pizzas are some of my favorites! Luna is a sweetheart and even though she’s always hard at work she always comes out to say hi. I make sure to bring friends and visitors here every chance I get.
This is by far the grossest restaurant in the entire Fairbanks area, maybe even the entire state. It's dirty, service is slow and not friendly. The good reviews are bizarre to me, those folks are living in another world. The food was inedible. We ordered burgers and fries and even the kids wouldn't eat the fries. We ordered dessert to go to eat later. It was a gross brownie with melted whipped cream. The entire place could be featured in a horror movie. It's been around a long time, and the reason why it's not packed, ever, is because long term locals avoid it. Those that don't must be friends with the owner. I've been there 4 times in 20 years. The first 3 with friends years ago to grab a drink and once to have a meal that was way overpriced. The latest time, I thought I'd give it another chance since it had been so many years, thinking, if it's still in business, maybe they got better. Nope. Worse.
