Last Saturday, my boyfriend and I went to the Cars & Coffee event because we just moved into the area and heard about it from a friend. We had so much fun and met some amazing people plus got some cool photos with the impressive lineup of cars. Really loved the safe and spacious opportunity to get out of the house (and for free!). Looking forward to the next one!

I’ve enjoyed going to FBFTL for several years! It’s a wonderful church located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale, with a rich history of ministering to those in need not only in the Fort Lauderdale area, but around the world with their missionary work. I especially like Pastor James’ preaching, he is very passionate about diving into the word of God and understanding the scriptures. He brings his own unique style to the message every week, and I find that it resonates in my own life and is very applicable. It’s evident that both the leadership team and volunteers at FBFTL are working hard to reach the community in a unique way and they have a heart to serve! This past year they’ve provided meals to frontline workers, given out backpacks when the school year was starting, meal kits for the Thanksgiving holiday, and many other examples of generosity in our city! FBFTL has done a good job at offering in-person services in a socially distant manner during the COVID-19 crisis. They have a large sanctuary that allows families or individuals to spread out, and they typically have two service times on Sundays, 9am and 11am. They have a great worship team for Sunday services and they have small groups currently meeting online. They also offer fun outdoor events for the community, which they usually post about on their Facebook page or website. My family and I attended the event last month where they had a movie night out on the lawn, or I should say parking lot, where they showed the movie Elf. It was a lovely outdoor event where they allowed people to come together and enjoy a movie night and get in the holiday spirit! This church has been a blessing in my life and I believe with their efforts they will continue to impact the city of Fort Lauderdale with the love of God. I look forward to seeing how FBFTL progresses as a church, and I’m proud to support the work that they do!

First Baptist Fort Lauderdale is beaming and growing with the Holy Spirit. Pastor James is such a practical and intentional leader and God continues to reach me with his thoughtful sermons. The staff and the worship team are helpful, eager and energetic to spread the joy of Jesus. I love the rawness of the congregation and love that there’s a 9am AND an 11am service. The 11am is always encouraging— especially when I don’t want to wake up early, haha. Such an awesome church family with a heart for Jesus. 10/10

LiFT Educational Academy has been doing so well that we recently expanded and added a Broward location to accommodate our growth. Serving students with learning disabilities requires an intimate and supportive environment of which First Baptist Ft Lauderdale exemplified. We are blessed to have chosen this venue above all others because of the warmth and professionalism we experience daily. We love coming to work! Thank you First Baptist!

We love this pageant and make the pilgrimage almost every year to see and experience it. We are Catholic but love our Baptist brothers and sisters here at First Baptist Fort Lauderdale . The pageant is truly an amazing experience and one to behold at any age.
