Unexpected and surreal experience. Quaint, clean and family run place. Extremely reasonable and welcoming . Food is great and fresh. Barbecue experience is well worth it. Would definitely visit again

In Unlock situation at the time of Durga Puja in 2020, 3 members of our family just wanted to go out from Kolkata for a change. We selected East Sikkim through Old Silk Route and visited upto Elephant Lake & Yak Golf Course ( Worlds Highest Golf Course). Our tour was packaged by Lamakhang Tour & Travels. We actually did not expect such comfortable and trouble free tour experience when we started from Kolkata Station by Kol - Guwahati Special Train. Mr. Sumba Sherpa, the owner of the Home Stay, along with his wife and sons were always taking care of every thing, especially sanitization of rooms, room service, food, car and overall cleanliness of the Homestay considering this pandemic situation. Unique feature of Lamakhang Home Stay, we appreciate, is they arrange complimentary bonfire for their guests every evening & evening tea/ coffee & snacks are being served there only. As Mr. Sharpa informed us, his Homestay is the oldest Homestay in Phadamchen. Moreover the tour was cost effective for us as their package was not expensive. We were offered 'Khada' at the time of leaving their Homestay as a symbol of gesture and wish for Happy & safe Journey back to Kolkata. Behavior, attitude and professionalism of the Sherpa family of Lamakhang Homestay can be considered as the Role Model in Homestay Industry.

We stay at this Homestay on 9th of February 2019. At that day, heavy snow fall was going on at Zuluk. Room were very clean, toilet was clean having all modern amenties/fittings. We ask for Veg food & the Food was delicious. We like the food so much that we have booked lunch for next day at the home stay on return from site seeing of Zuluk Recommend for stay
