I would avoid this school at all costs. The accelerated BSN program does not prepare you adequately to be a nurse on top of it costing 50k. I really wish I went somewhere else.

I attended this \school\ for one semester in 2017 and then left to pursue other opportunities. This \school\ operates out of an old church building turned adjunct campus. Resources for sim lab are not comparable to UTHSC but prices would make you think that it's superior. Yes, the program is accelerated and all accelerated BSN programs are hard but general lack of professor interest makes you feel like you are being rushed through a program and not prepared whatsoever for clinicals let alone the real nursing job. Most professors here spend half their time rushing through course material and the other half scaring you into thinking you'll be kicked out of the program. This program has extremely high drop-out rates so be sure to inquire about that. We lost 7 people before the semester was over. Half the problem (and I have discussed this with students in cohorts ahead) is that they have 3 cohorts running at the same time!!! Most nursing programs have one. Most of the people in my cohort who went on to do grad school chose other universities and not the progressions program provided at Union. Union is the priciest nursing school in Memphis and they make you feel like you are throwing away money. All in all, I would say to steer clear of nursing in general. You are highly emotionally abused on the floor by other nurses, doctors, administration and forced to work beyond your pay grade. Programs like FNP and CRNA seem appealing for the salary but in all honesty, you are going to be stuck being a mid-level provider for the rest of your life. People think 70k as a nurse and 100-150k as a APN is a lot but wait and see your debt and how you aren't trusted because you aren't a doctor. You do doctorate programs for FNP and CRNA but cannot call yourself a doctor and are not deemed as competent. A lifetime of that is hellish. Choose another profession.
