Grangemouth Spitfire Memorial commemorates the RAF Command that was based in Grangemouth, the British and Allied Airmen who were based and trained at the base. The plane is a replica of the X4859Spitfire Mk.1.There also an information board with lots of information.

This sits just next to the main road and is such an amazing memorial and not only does it list the names but it has the history to go with it and a fitting memorial of a full size spitfire.
Christmas lunch was tasty, could have been served hotter, but staff were very helpful, difficult situation for everyone at the time. Still recommended the place to anyone.
Very nice memorial for the fallen Aircrew members who flew out from RAF Grangemouth in its time of operation. Also a interesting bit of local history.
