Bought an ex hire Argyll jacket and waistcoat here. I was measured and given the size chosen by a younger man not the owner. Tried them both on when I got home and they were both too big. Went to return the next week and was told that I would not be able to as they did not give refunds for ex display items. Bought socks on another occasion and they had a hole in them after wearing them once. Took them back for a refund and I was told that there was no way that I’d bought them there. Produced online banking as proof and was told I wouldn’t get my money back and was grudgingly given another pair of cheap socks. Will not be going back.

People ask me why I travelled all the way to Inverness to buy kilts. First we asked and were given lots of personal recommendations for Scotkilts. Next, the service in Scotkilts shop was second to none. And the kilts, hand made for us on site, are perfect. The quality and the fit of the kilt shows that the advice given was right. The photos from the wedding back it up. I'm going to wear this kilt every chance I get. The tartan is Ross muted red.

Understaffed and Over Committed - the shop refused to take a hire for 4 of us (me and our 3 young children) because they had not enough staff to keep up with their commitments so despite having the availability of hire items, we were ushered out and sent elsewhere. Certainly not in keeping with their MFR adverts!!! Just not worth returning now which is a shame as we had high hopes after their high profile marketing.

First class service when hiring 3 outfits for a family wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and the arrangements were very flexible. Bonus is free to park right outside.
