I spent some time here waiting for my wife's appointment to end at University of Iowa Hospital. It was really beautiful and peaceful.
Well kept facilities. Not to crowded. A good amount of space for the kiddos to run around.
When it isn't flooded (see photo), it's a great park. Especially for bike rides. There's this spot in the Northeast end of the park where there's a loop of bike trail that you can turn around and head back on the path without stopping. Or be like me and ride in circles as fast as you can. Fun for adults and children alike, highly recommend.
Upper City Park is always a fabulous place to hammock. Beautiful.
