Most ideal harbour when sailing from the Netherlands. All is fairly new, super friendly harbor master and.... just a a short walk to Pinmill where one should get a beer. Or two.

Lovely club with a warm feeling towards visitors

A lovely place to visit and walk past. Set on the Orwell river it is beside a few hiking trails. It is not open to the public however the views from the location into the marina are breathtaking and you can see the Orwell bridge and down to the felixstowe docks as well.

We base our Standup Paddling Club here (suffolksup.club), so we have been using it for our launch site. The people are friendly and the site is great, right on the river orwell. They have a restaurant here that does excellent food and all the drinks you would expect.

We had our Association AGM here in November and it was a first class venue. Around sixty of us sat in comfort in the main Club room and later around forty in their Restaurant. My wife and I were visiting from Devon and stayed at one of the Premier Inns in Ipswich. Transport was laid on so I cannot comment on transport there but there is ample parking. The club house is well serviced and accessible on one floor. Worth a visit if you are a Mariner.
