Kareem’s Weekend today and craving for some good Indian food. We drive to Kareem’s. Upon entering the restaurant you notice the nice decor inside and seating area. Ordered for lunch: Chicken Dum Biryani - lovely Zaffron fragrant rice. Small chicken pieces. No potatoes. Served with yogurt and tangy pickles. Special butter chicken - chicken was chewy didn’t seem like boneless rather like thigh chicken. It didn’t have much butter flavor which was missing from the dish that gives it the name of butter chicken. More cream would have made this curry even better. Chicken Shai Korma - nice thick creamy gravy not spicy at all. Special Chicken Karahi- this was made is a very tangy tomato sauce. Curry was nice but needs to be a bit more spicy Overall food was good. Prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly and polite. Open for dining. Has a really nice family room upstairs with bathroom and hand washing area. This would be a great place to dine with friends and family. Paid parking space is available.
Being a mughal (decendant) i exactly know the Mughlai cuisine and its taste. My taste buds were craving for some authentic Golauti kebabs, Mutton Biryani and firni since i came across kareem's located at the heart of the city Abudhabi. I wish i could give more than 5 star for decor, ambiance, vibe and space. Keeping the tradition and authenticity in mind they have created the restaurant beautifully. A very calm and soothing restaurant for families and couples to enjoy their delicacies. What i tried at Kareem's While waiting for starters we were served Shots of Palak shorba, Tamatar Dhaniya shorba, Chicken Yakhni Shorba, Starters Mutton Yakhni Shorba and Paya Shorba. For starters we ordered *Golauti Kebab *Chicken Kali Mirch *Tandoori Prawns *Achari fish tikka For Main Course we tried *Lasooni palak and i must say i have never tasted such amazing recipe out of spinach. Definitely a must try. *Mutton Rogan Josh is my another favorite from kareem's. *Murgh Mussallam grilled tandoori chicken cooked in spicy butter and tomato gravy prepared in a very authentic style and served with rice and boiled eggs on the side. *Mutton Biryani doesn't need explanation you gotta give it a try. And enjoyed some Garlic Naan, Lacchedar paratha, Tandoori Roti and butter Roti with the gravies that we ordered. The staff suggested us to try their Strawberry Mojito which was extremely refreshing. And to sum up our entire dinning experience we ordered desserts *Gajar Halwa *Doodhi Halwa *A very scrumptious Malai Phirni I really enjoyed the right amount of sweetness. Definitely worth the visit as the prices are quite reasonable too. Enjoy their top notch service.
Awesome food specially I need to suggest non veg kabab platters & malai firni Specially thanks to Mr. Javed See u again
The place is very neat and overall organized. It has good air conditioning and good seats. We ordered the mixed platter and butter chicken with butter naan and also the Chicken tangdi kulfi kebab. The platter including the malai chicken was great, but I was expecting more of some mutton instead of full chicken kebabs. But overall it was good. The butter chicken was sweet and juicy with the amazing stripped chicken. This made it very easy for kids to eat. The tangdi chicken was amazing and I felt like that the main show, it was marinated in amazingly creamy cheese. This is one of the best chicken I have tasted and I’m happy for it. At the end of the day, this is an amazing restaurant.
Great ambience, following all covid protocols, socially distanced tables, great food, were given paya shorb anad tomato soup as welcome drink, definitrly worth a try, reasonably priced
Tried the newly opened Kareem’s - an offshoot of the Bombay chain (not to be confused with the Kareem’s of old Delhi fame) of resturant. They serve the Mughali dishes and since I went for lunch alone had to suffice by ordering the mutton dum biryani which was also too much for me to finish and had it packed for takeaway. The welcome at the reception was heartwarming. Soon was ushered to the first floor where the seating is located. The ambiance is very tastefully done with lovely pastel shades for the decor. Loved the oriental lamps, could only imagine how delightful they might appear at dinner time. So my Biryani arrived very quickly along with a soup sampling on the house which was simply awesome- more like spicy mutton shorba. The Biryani was steaming hot and spicy. Had to use all my raita (yogurt) to calm my pellet. Overall had a nice experience and shall certainly dine at night with the family soon. Tips: they offer 15% discount on ADCB cards but only on weekdays. They are not yet on entertainer but available on zomato Plus.
This restaurant has delicious non-vegetarian dishes as well as vegetarian dishes with ample of choices We started our dinner with palak shorba & paya soup. This is the first time i have tried palak shorba and I absolutely loved the taste. It is a must try. Later we tried vegetarian and non-vegetarian platter for starter. Vegetarian platter had 3 kinds of Paneer Tikka Tandoori, Afghani & Hariyali along with Tandoori Mushroom & Tandoori Gobi. Non-veg platter had 3 kinds of Chicken Achari, Kalimiri & Chakori along with Mutton Barra (it was customised as per my choice) For main course we tried mix veg lahori, palak paneer, dal tadka, mutton rogan josh with ajwaini paratha, lachha paratha & butter kulcha. We ended our dinner with delicious desserts...malai firni, doodhi halwa, gajar halwa. All three desserts were super yummy. I highly recommend this restaurant Ambience: 4 out of 5 Service: 5 out of 5 Food: 5 out of 5 Value for Money: 5 out of 5
