Meals were good. La Taifas was decorated with traditional motifs. And so expensive. We paid almost 200 euros for 3 person. And and they didn't accept credit card. You can pay just cash. be careful.

I came here on recommendation by a few people about their zeama (chicken noodle soup). The restaurant itself is in a basement and looks like a mix between a 1800s banquet hall and some sort of museum display. The service was quick and friendly, and attentive but not annoyingly so. The soup itself was tasty and decently priced.
Good sarmale. It is the lower level of the building. I ordered pickles and home made potatoes which where good. The Chisinau beer is excellent. Service was slow, but the restaurant was full and a four piece band was playing.
Was really delicious traditional Moldova food. I went with some friends they really enjoy too I really recommend this restaurant. Maybe is common but the stuff don’t smile too often and you feel like they are mad always beside that food was so good
I've been to many \traditional restaurants\ in different countries, but La Taifas (the gathering) is certainly one of the best I've experienced. The aesthetics inside are bursting with cultural items and color, a band intermittently plays folk music on traditional instruments, and the staff are outfitted with traditional clothes. The Romanian/Moldovan style food was unique, but incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. The quail soup and wine-infused pear dessert were the top dishes they served us, but all of the other dishes we had were excellent as well. We paired most of the food with Fautor's Negre wine, which was a blend of two red grape varietals grown in Moldova. We had our server place the wine in a decanter and the wine really opened up and paired well with our meal. The prices are significantly higher than other similar restaurants, but you get what you pay for: A full traditional experience and top-quality, delicious food. Absolutely recommend this place!
Nice place with a traditional vibe, the staff was friendly and the prices are higher than other places. The food was overall very good, I highly recommend the soups. I also had some beef stew but it had too much fat for my taste. Other main courses were better.
Food was good, a bit pricier than other places in Chisinau. We got the rabbit in wine sauce and chicken with cream/mushroom sauce, 2 potato sides, 2 small bottles of water, and a glass of wine. They also brought complimentary placinta. There was live traditional music which was very nice. Bill was around 750MDL.
Delicious traditional food and a lovely atmosphere!
