Good food, but rather slow service. Waited to order food for half an hour so rather annoyed with the experience. Otherwise good place for brunch.

Called in after a ride out through the Trough of Bowland and had an amazing breakfast served by Kasey. The food was excellent, presented in a way that supports the modern decor, the friendly service was awesome and it was such a relaxing atmosphere with Covid-19 safety in mind. Will definitely be calling again.

The Quaterhouse is a quaint breakfast and brunch restaurant in the heart of Lancaster. It sits a few doors away from the Dukes Theatre and conveniently close to the town centre, but yet still feels out of the way and more secluded. The food is an eclectic mix of traditional looking foods with a slight twist. As a licenced bar there is also the option of craft ales or a 'brunch cocktail' for those so minded. Since it was a work day we declined to try these on this visit, but a Gin and cold brew tea with mint and lemon is on the cards for a future visit. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the building tastefully decorated. It reminded me of one of the many small french cafes I visited in Paris and Amsterdam. The same ambience. Relaxed not busy, measured not hurried. Eating fine foods for brunch without feeling a pressing rush to be churned in an endless customer rotation. Well worth more than one visit to try the various food combinations alone.

Great cappuccino with balanced flavour. Overpriced seafood benedict for the portion. Paid 10 for some bits of fish on a crumpet. Good food but lacks value. Would go for coffee only

The food and service here is second to none. The nicest breakfast/brunch I've had in a very long time. You can tell chef is passionate about the food and it really shows. Keep it up the good work
