I liked it. The Fado was entertaining. The 19 menu was good value for 3 courses and a big glass of wine. The waiters were friendly. You can send back the meats etc they bring to the table with no fuss at all. An experience worth having

I've read some of the bad reviews before and I can see their point about the prices, however, you need to take into account that the prices include for the Fado singers that provide the entertainment. The restaurant is now called the Royal Fado. Yes, the food is not great and yes the wine and beer is expensive, but we went there tonight and listened to the guitarists who were very good. One called Rui CAPE was exceptional with a fantastic voice. If you go and you don't want dinner the minimum spend is 10 Euros which is reflected in the prices of the drinks (1 glass of wine is 11 Euros but it is a big glass _ see photo). So go along and have a drink and listen to the music. Yes, you won't be writing a petition in protest that the restaurant has not been awarded a Michelin star, the food is basic. Perhaps the restaurant could consider reducing prices but you don't go there every night for Fado.
I don’t recommend, as we have arrived, waiter brought us tapas that we haven’t ordered. After I’ve told him that we don’t want it, he became rude. Try other restaurants in the Neighbourhood.
Absolute junkyard trash. Deserves to be put as worst restaurant ever(Guinness world record). Toilet is horrible cause only has a curtain and the toilet flooded. Also the singer needs help and please just close down and rethink your restaurants plans. And please just back away until you become and anti tourist trap! They came for good stuff not bad stuff like your restaurant. Tempted to put 5 stars cause it was so funny.
Really really bad. FRAUD. Went there for wine only, they put bread and ham on our table within a few minutes (which we had never ordered and didn't want). We ordered a 25e bottle of \special wine\, and we were presented with a bill of 35e; which added fees onto our order that made no sense. The waiter was very rude once we addressed this issue. We then agreed we would pay the additional fee (even though we had never asked or ordered the additional food) and the waiter followed us to the ATM to collect the money. This was unbelievably uncomfortable and intimating. Do not go here. Fados was very bad and singer was extremely rude, hushing the crowd at numerous intervals. If I could give a negative review I would.
One star only because of the Fado singer otherwise zero stars. Totally overpriced and the food is mediocre. Check your invoice before you pay! It's a tourist trap!
We didn't read the reviews but we left immediatly after we have entered because of the bad smell and prices. Lately, we read the reviews. It was a great decision.
Very bad! Don't even think of eating there! Service is very slow, me and my girlfriend waited an hour for our dishes, and then the waiter told us that they don't have the products to prepare what we have ordered. The prices are very high! We paid 6,2 for a bottle of water and 7 for two pieces of typical sandwich bread. Awful impression! Hope you will never have such bad experience.
