Very quick & efficient staff friendly. Only down side if your garden waste or any item heavy they aren't allowed to help you lift up into skip. This must be awful for the elderly and could harm them in attempting to lift. Other than that I think it is much better than the old system of just turning up. It would be helpful if this could be looked into.

Horrific!!! My mother, a 75 year old retired lady, with a heart condition, lung problems, and poor mobility has recently visited the effort depot on her own, where she was treated terribly; she does not have any family locally and as such was at the mercy of the gestapo type treatment on offer by the staff there. She was made to lift heavy mattresses and other difficult objects on her own, and when she asked for assistance from the many layabout staff roaming around aimlessly, was greeted with malice and contempt by them. “It’s not my job love” or “can’t help”!! Which is odd, because that’s exactly what their job is! We pay our taxes to ensure we have this service and it is absolutely disgusting that they are allowed to get away with this kind of service. What has the world come to when we let pensioners struggle at the risk of their health, and just stand by and watch as they can’t be bothered to do the job they are paid for. Covid is not an excuse for not being able to help people in need - they need to put on a pair of gloves and get to work like the rest of the country!
