At the top of Marseille is the \Good Mother\. The streets are well signposted to get there and the view is very beautiful. Come in, light a candle (if it is part of your faith) visit the crypt and the altar. Need a panoramic view of the city, choose your next destination.

Best view of the town and well beyond. Great hike from the piers and back for full city tour. And it’s the least expansive and most fun you’ll have. On the way up see lovely boutiques and independent shops; on the way down, follow the coast to see how old money folks live and catch a view of their chateaus. The restrooms on the top are super clean and free, and big enough for Americans, probably the only place in Europe.
Incredible place to visit in Marseille. The view is out of this world. You can drive up a lot of the way but that's the easy part as finding a place to park your car can be a challenge. Definitely a must do if you are in Marseille.
It’s the best place in Marseille. We can watch whole Marseille by standing over there. God rules and protects people by standing up. The scenes are good and place is piece and spiritual.
An important visit in Marseille... but there are few parking places and quite a few people... so I suggest using the \tour bus\ to go to this place. Have a general idea of the city with the bus. Port and other places are better walking... but here, uphill, narrow streets, no parking... The bus is a good idea. Spend your time enjoying the view; not trying to park. Enjoy!
The choir that performed in the Basilique is exceptional! The place has an amazing view of the entire city of Marseille.
beautiful Basilique, must be visited while in great city of Marseille,we all need to pray for the world as France and all of western and northern Europe is nearly lost to socialism!
The best view to the City you take from here. The cathedral is situated on the highest peek of Marseille, with a 360º patio. Unfortunately the site with the QR Codes wasn't working when I visited, and there were no explanation on the history of the church and its art pieces. The visit is free and there is a bus (public transport) that leaves Vieux-Port and leaves you just some steps below - so it is a cheap and must-go visit.
