Great new boat. Loved many things about it. There were quite a few downfalls, but overall a really nice experience. First off, our Steward, Phillip, was absolutely phenomenal!! I tipped him the most i have ever tipped a steward. The food was really good. Lunch options on the Lido deck were not great, but the many alternative options were excellent. Guy's Burgers and his Pig & Anchor restaurant were free highlights. There were not many shows on this boat as has been the norm on other Carnival cruises in the past, but the amount of activities more than made up for the lack of them. There was a TON of dance and club activities and the IMAX theatre was awesome. The casino was a bit smaller, but I'm thinking those are all but a dying breed now. Smoking was limited, but still ever present. The Skyride was down more than 75% of the cruise, but the Skywalk was always running. The putt putt was way more pleasurable than other cruises and the slides were very cool. One speed and 1 float slide. Many huge water dumps. 2 very small pools and one that was only for private room purchasers. Much smaller pool deck than many other ships. Way too crowded. Many new deck movies were cool. There is no 10 floor drop in the center of the boat anymore. The floors are all chopped up and there is no real flow anymore. The new elevator sysyem was a challenge for many and a lot of cases, slowed down progress to other floors. It's a challenge to get around. Overall the experience was nice, but familiaroty of Carnival was not there. We kinda felt like we were on a new RC ship which didn't please us greatly.

Given that this is one of the news and biggest ship in the Carnival fleet, I am surprise that it is still not comparable with the biggest ships in Royal Caribbean. The biggest RCCL breaks some traditional design limitation with most cruise lines (or RCCL itself); but Carnival still follow the same design as its other ships.. except it makes it bigger. Late late Buffet: One good thing I really like about this ship is its late night buffet--except that it gives the EXACT same choice of food every night. Food: food is decent but not exception. the menu selection seems to be a bit lack, can expand it a bit Kid Camp: one of the greatest kid camp in the ocean. This is certainly a ship to choose if you have kids Sky Ride: Nice!!! fun way to view the ocean from high up in the sky
Great experience!! Can't wait for our next cruise!!!
We had a ball. Great time.
