Calm, peaceful, pure, solemn: Not from this world.

Walk through the same corridors monks did before you. Learn about the modest and simple life on the glory days of the Abby. Must see: huge black-smithing building with a watermill powered hammer.
A must see Unesco heritage site! Beautifully restored and preserved Abbey in a lush valley surrounded by a meticulously trimmed garden. Absolutely recommend it. (Visiting in Corona time makes it extra quiet and pleasant )
Always loved this place! Magical and peaceful!
Beautiful. Visited in the off-season and my daughter and I were the only two visiting at the time. Very peaceful and one can have fun imagining the daily lives of monks here nearly 900 years ago! If you are in the Cote d'Or, definitely make it a stop. You will not be disappointed. Even trout for the young ones to spy.
A nice calm relaxing abbey. Pamphlets in English. Guide tours in French available
Self guided visit. Great abbey with loads of history
Very interesting place to visit. The buildings are well preserved and restored. A guided tour is available but only in French. However, the leaflet provided can be obtained in English as well as other languages. This has a plan of the site and a good amount of detail about the history and use of the various structures. There are pleasant gardens surrounding the Abbey. Parking is easy. There are shared toilet facilities. Some refreshments are available. There is a gift shop of course! A peaceful place.
