Beautiful bridge with a lovely clear river running beneath. Some nice views of the bridge can be had if you climb down to view it from either side. A nice little stop off to see.

Best Tourist attraction in Angus well worth the Visit
Former Caledonian Railway branch line to Brechin. Used to be on the Aberdeen to Glasgow route. We used to pass through here on our annual holiday to Auchenblae alighting at Laurencekirk station in the early 1960s.
A uniquely beautiful bridge with scenic views overlooking the River. There are viewing points built along the bridge and I find it fascinating that the architect took the natural beauty of the land into consideration when building such a practical structure, and I'm so glad he did! Construction (June 1785 - January 1787) It was designed and built by Stevens whose use of classical ornamentation transformed the bridge from being a purely utilitarian structure. The contract price was 3128.
Peaceful spot for walking and birdwatching
