For those who like border markets this is one that's worthy of visiting, at one of the many stalls and you might find some good cheap stuff including clothes, cloth, furniture as well as various types of stones and gems. There is an actual border checkpoint nearby that is functionable for Thailand Myanmar Nationals. There has been a plan to open this border to all International travelers, but there seems to be a delay for the opening, cited to be due to ongoing construction of a highway on the Myanmar side. When this border Point eventually does open as a permanent border crossing, I think that this Market will boom and expand greatly with more International traffic coming through this checkpoint to get to and from the mergui archipelago to and from Thailand.
