One of my favorite all time places. Largest specimen collection in the world and world class research on reefs, biodiversity, global warming. All in a world class facility with natural history, aquarium, rain forest, planetarium and more. Love it!

This place is made for those of us who LOVE oceanography and art! The building and views on its own are breathtaking. The collection is vast, interesting and kept up to date with interactive activities for all ages. I wasn’t expecting to be so blown away. I will definitely come back one day.
I just randomly came across this museum and I'm happy that I did. Here you can learn about the beautiful history of ships/captains, see gorgeous sealife and you will learn about the effect of waste in the ocean. Defenitly recommend to stop by and have a look.
Set in a beautiful 150 years old building, the museum offers a superb discovery of certain types of tropical fishes, corals, , with detailed explanations. We visited a Saturday afternoon, around 4 pm and it seems a very popular family outing, with young kids marvelling at seahorses, sharks, clown . The visit takes around 2 hours, the most interesting floor being the basement where all the live creatures are exposed. I'm not a fan of museums, but that one is worth a visit. Since it is located on the rock (le rocher) it's also a good opportunity to visit the old city, and the palace.
Beautiful collection, stunning building and beautiful surroundings. Worth a walk around to see the architecture of the building. Rich in details, super well preserved and imposing facade. Have a look at my pictures and you will believe me. Be ready for queuing a lot and get your tickets online beforehand.
Its a very nice museum it has 4 floors and you can see a lot of interesting things in there and you can interact with things so you can understand how they work.
A wonderful day , several hours calm and tranquille observing the stunning beauty of the oceans' incredible creatures and plant life. Reminding and intensifying how necessary it is for us to change our way of life, NOW, not in the future so that we save our biodiversity, our planet and US. Sharon Kidson
