I donate platelets 24 times each year. The staff is always professional; always polite; always informative; and always do their jobs as I read during the process. It is so important to donate any blood serum for the many people in dire need. I donate for the many cancer patients who really, really need what I can freely offer.

The staff is so compassionate and great at putting donors at ease. I've been going to the Naper Blvd site for years and switched from blood to platelet donation a few years ago.
The employees here are all very kind and efficient. Some are better at others when inserting the needle for a blood donation.
Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. I always look forward to my time here, it's actually relaxing.
I have donated blood and platelets enumerous number of times. Over 2 Gallons blood and about half a gallon of platelets till date. Most of the times it is a pleasant donation but once I got a really bad bruise. I thought it was ok as it is for a good cause. But off late, my last second experience ended up with really bad bruise that costed me almost 2 months of my gym. I couldnt life normal weights and the pain existed over 3.5 months. I’m ok now. The bloodcenter lawyer was very polite to follow up, and finally for the good cause I went again and I ended up with multiple checkups in hospital as blood came gushing out of the hand and the nurse did not even notice blood spilling on d floor. She didnt even look concerned. So that was my last! My humanity still remains so I wil try donating elsewhr but definitely never at heartland blood centers.
