This place has amazing, well-priced food! My friend and I split a patacon (plantain) sandwich with grilled chicken and yuca fries, and it was not only delicious in every aspect (sandwich, fries, and all of the sauces that came with them were great) but the staff was really friendly when we picked up, which is always a big plus. They even cut our sandwich in half so that we could share more easily, which was really appreciated! I will absolutely be back for more (hopefully) soon!

Just got an amazing Patacon from this place- came so quick too! So happy they are open and serving the neighborhood. It’s an NYC Institution!!

Holy Guacamole Batman! My tastebuds are in heaven. Yesterday I tried the De Pabellon Patacon and drooled my way through the rest of the afternoon daydreaming about having another. Today I had to go back - I got the Mexican Arepa and Chicken Pastelito. My mouth-heart be still. Incredibly flavorful with the soft crispy textures of the Patacon/Arepa/Pastelito. Drool face. I have nothing bad to say. I will be trying everything from the menu over the next month. Feed me. (P.s. you can get filled up for around 10! Almost an impossibility in this neighborhood.)

Basically a bad Big Mac, but without the meat. The owners just responded to my previous review stating they do not welcome customer feedback. It’s sad that a food establishment is not interested in customer satisfaction. As for the actual food review. I stand by my original comments. The cachapa was a mostly empty shell with very little meat and some wilted lettuce. I had described it as a bad Big Mac without the meat. (And the owner said that comment was “telling them how to run their business”.) And no, I did not receive a patacon. I received a cachapa. I know the difference. To the Owner: Please stop insulting customers.

Delicious introduction to some Venezuelan food. Never had a Patacon before but seeing plantains used like that changed the game. The sides are also large and all the sauces are good.
