Hadn't really planned on eating out but as we were in the area, fancied an adhoc treat. Hadn't booked (naughty), but the staff were lovely and agreed to squeeze us in. Our temperatures were taken and our contact details recorded (covid). We were offered a small table in the corner and I asked could we sit by the window instead. Reply... Yes, of course you can Ordered triple cheese macaroni (special) and rack of Ribs. Oh my goodness, wow!! Huge portions, piping hot, beautifully presented. Absolutely yummy and we thouragly enjoyed every mouthful. The staff were all lovely, smiley and chatty. We were checked on 3 times during the meal, asking if everything was OK. Sadly as the meals are large, we couldn't experience the puds, although I would have loved to but I think I may have burst. I've seen a few positive Facebook posts on the King's Arms but to be honest, I don't think they are positive enough. We will 100% be back and 100% recommend you to others. Well done for your professionalism in dealing with the covid crisis, your fabulous cheerful staff and the amazing chef and his creations. Please thank all the staff for making our visit so enjoyable and positive XXXX

Visiting the area and found this local pub. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. The food was great quality, particularly the homemade pie! The portions are huge and very affordable.
Had 2 meals at this pub tonight, one lasagna and one pie and chips with a side order of garlic bread. The meals themselves were filling and very nice and the garlic bread was massive, not for one lol. The staff and landlady were very nice and pleasant. Highly recommend pub and service and dog friendly.
We walked in to a charming pub. Looked lovely inside. And that's when it all went down hill. The waitresses were very grumpy apart from one who wasn't serving us. Although I would be grumpy too if I was being shouted at and told off every 5 minutes by the owner. ( it was not pleasant to watch and listen to). We were offered drinks and once we recieved them 1 minute later we was jumped on asking what we would like to eat even though the boards tell us to \sit down and take our time to look over the menu\. We asked for starters but there wasn't any, so we went ahead and ordered our mains. The children had the kids options and we had the huge burger. They were out of the kitchen within 10 minutes which was fantastic. The children's meals came out in mcdonalds style boxes which I found was very odd due to being served it in a pub/restaurant. Because of this, they were scorching hot and stayed that way for 15 minutes so the children couldn't eat it. The big burgers came out and they looked fantastic. But diving in deeper, the buns wasn't toasted, the cheese wasn't melted and due to my beef burger being luke warm, it subsequently didn't melt. It was overflowing with mayo which made the untoasted buns fall apart. Not a great experience. We had some condiments but it wasn't enough so we asked for some more but after we received them, the poor waitress got shouted at for not limiting the table to 2 of each. So we felt very bad for her. The chef and the owner could be heard shouting multiple times thoughout the experience. Due to the whole experience, we didn't stay on for desserts as we felt very uncomfortable and quite disappointed with the whole experience. We have come on holiday from Wales and hoped for a quite family meal but we got nothing of the sort. We won't be returning to the King's Arms if we came back. The only thing that made this experience a little better was that it was all half Price. Would not Reccomend
Great pub and motorhome friendly if you want to stay over and sample their wares. 3 well kept real ales and a wide range of other drinks. Go hungry and enjoy their lovely hot food wether from the menu or specials you will not be disappointed. And keep an eye out for their specials eg fish and chips with a pint for 8. Enjoy bar games, or outside seating too.
