Somewhere Else

Went in for a laptop and in fairness the guys serving were relatively busy considering there weren't many of them which was a shame as when a nice chap did try to help, I really felt he wanted to move on to someone else. Anyway, then went upstairs for a hoover and again, no one to help so took a few down, plugged them in and tried them. Staff walked past and didn't seem to mind what we were up to so good on em. We selected ourselves and spent 200 so not the biggest sale, but a sale. So, OK not the best service but being able to try the hoovers was great. The guy at the counter where we paid requested my name and address, I asked why and he snapped with real attitude 'it's for the warranty'! OK a valid reason, but cut the attitude pal.

I ordered a computer as I’m starting a work from home job, placed my order, money was taken. Brilliant. Should be delivered between 4-7 working days! I did a live chat with someone on the off chance I might of been able to have it sooner, gave my details, found my order, lady who I spoke to said that particular computer was actually out of stock, they don’t know when they will have more. Why not state this item is ‘out of stock’ before they take customers money? Baffled. They have a delivery in two weeks time. So I would of had to wait at least two weeks for this computer at least, this would of resulted me in potentially losing this job I as they have requirements. She cancelled my order without my consent. This resulted in me being pushed further down the waiting list for this computer. After those 50 steps back.. I was stressing. I then rang them, spoke to a man this time, he said there is nothing they can do to help me. They could order me one for an extra 150 but I would receive no help for their mistakes, plus I have to wait for 450 to be transferred back into my account. This all resulted in me having to try and ring a store (which proved to be very difficult) and do click and collect. I then had to drive an overall trip of 50 miles to collect this myself just so I could secure this computer. This was just a very stressful experience for just ordering a computer, something they specialise in. And with the given circumstances, the majority of office workers now working from their own homes, therefor needed their own computers etc you’d think they’d make sure they have more in stock of better yet.. STATE THE ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK BEFORE TAKING CUSTOMERS MONEY!!!! Please please please if anyone from curry’s pc world is reading this.. do something about it. Very very frustrating and overall experience has been horrendous and stressful. No help was given, no support. No one CARED.

Has all the white goods at reasonable prices. Delivered for free. No pressure sales. Polite staff. Easy parking. Covid safe. They don't mind if you play metal through their speakers to test them. Will visit again if I need to buy that kind of thing.
