Booked the Covid safe service. It wasn’t. Driver wore no mask. Screen had a hole in it. Seats and handles not wiped as stated. Card machine didn’t work so driver handled about 3 cards and then I had to pay cash. Charged 9.30 instead of the 6.80 quoted. Used New City a lot in the past, but this was dreadful.

Excellent service, drivers patient and polite, I had an accident recently and the drivers do not hurry me they always check that I am safe and steady before leaving me, and will also take my bags and myself to the door without asking if they see I am struggling.

New City currently provide the taxi service between Southport and Wigan for the train company I work for - they have always been on time; and the vehicles have always been spotlessly clean and well presented. The driver I had tonight, Zaf, was very pleasant and professional throughout the whole journey. do not I repeat do not use this taxi company. They have the most disrespectful misoginistic drivers. No regard for anyone and trust me this is not the first time. I will never be using their services again. Good luck if you do. If you try to ask questions about the meter they take it as an attack when they can just simply answer politely. I wanted to rate them zero starts. They dont care about these reviews becaue they know they wont shut their business down. I hope one they they do if the keep refusing to improve their customer service. Also some of the staf that book the taxi for yoy are so rude. The older cab drivers still have repect but you see them young ones have no regard and poor customer service and act like they are doing you a favour like we dont pay for the service
