Never again I will use this company. I had to cancel my flight due to the government restrictions which doesn't allow me to travel without a legal reason. The airlines I used has a policy that entitles passengers to claim for a full refund if they have been restricted to travel by their government. To be fair, Travel Up has offered me a voucher equivalent to the cost of my ticket which can be used for future trips. The only downside is this voucher has a deadline which will end before the end of 2021. Who knows what will happen in the next 10 months? I cancelled all my plans due to all uncertainties and wanted to ask for a full refund instead of keeping the voucher they are offering. Now, when I phoned up Travel Up to inform them of my intentions, they refused to accept my request, and informed me, quite rudely, that the policy set up by the airlines I chose to travel does not exist. That is incorrect as up to the time of writing this review, the policy still exists and when I offered to send the policy over to them via email, the agent said he does not need to see it. What sort of company does this? If the airline is willing to offer a refund to passengers with valid reasons, what stops the agent from claiming it? Sort yourself out Travel Up! I have used this travel agency numerous times in the past and I never had any issues until now.

I booked my AA flights through TravelUp. I can not get hold of any agents over the last week. No one picks the phone other than getting a message stating that you are typically 60 in the queue. I have left my number as call back and nobody returns my call. I’m absolutely frustrated!!!
Booked through travel up initially I was happy. My flight coming home has been changed and now has a 13 hour layover. Asked if they can either compensate me by putting me up in a hotel or offer me an earlier internal flight. He came back with a different internal flight and times that suited me but didn't check properly and that flight was fully booked all of a sudden so was back to square 1. The guy had no customer service skills and basically said the flight cancelling/changing is not our responsibility. The alternative flight he had given me was coming back at a much later date which didn't suit me and wasn't very understanding or helpful at all. I wouldn't be using them again.
the hotel had been booked for months. I contacted the hotel one week before the stay just to confirm the booking, only to be told that the hotel has been shut for months! They said that all travel agencies including TravelUp were contacted. We were not told a single thing! If I hadn't checked, my girlfriend and I would've turned up at a hotel in Spain with the doors locked and lights off. When I contacted TravelUp regarding this, I requested a refund. They processed the refund but kept the admin fee of 25. Usually this wouldn't bother me... but why am I paying an Admin fee if the admin team have failed to do their job?! Horrendous experience, never again.
NEVER, NEVER BOOK FLIGHTS WITH TRAVEL UP!! In January 2020 I booked a British Airways return flight to the USA for June 2020. Due to the pandemic restrictions, I wasn’t able to board the flight. Travel Up said my only option was to use the value of the ticket to re-book the flights before 25th January 2021. Since December 2020, as the Government restrictions on non-essential travel have continued without any end date, I have been asking for a full refund from Travel Up as it is impossible to plan a visit to the USA before Travel Up’s deadline. I have spent many hours making numerous telephone calls to Customer Services over the following weeks. Whenever my call was finally answered, I was told that I must speak to an Admin Officer - who was always “unavailable”. Requests for him to call me back were never followed up. Emails were never answered. Eventually I got to speak to him through sheer persistence only to be told I must now speak to an Admin Manager – and, no surprise, he is always “unavailable” when I call and requests for him to call me back are never followed up. Customer Services are now telling me Travel Up will only refund 300 of the 530.33 I paid! SCANDALOUS! I AM ENTITLED TO A FULL REFUND! NEVER, NEVER book flights with Travel Up. Don’t be fooled by their claim to provide “excellent service” and that they are “a name you can trust”. Rubbish!
