This is the business class of Christmas markets. You have to pay to get in but it is a nice environment. The food stalls are in the center of the courtyard. Buy your tickets online for a discount price. It’s an easy walk from the train station to the Christmas market. This was my first time going and I wish I went years ago.

Beautiful palace! Well worth checking out. I took a tour. My german isn't great (and the tour guide spoke quickly), so I got an English audio guide. There was lots of interesting information. The tour guide also told us some additional information in English as well, since the tour guide provided some information that wasn't on the audio guide. Unfortunately, you can't take pictures in most of the palace.
The guided tour was the highlight of our trip to Regensburg, the palace is still lived in and that makes it a very interesting place to visit especially with the quirky art collected by the current owners.
Good peace of history. This is where the fist post service begins. You need to go through museum because most of it close to the public it is still privately own big part of it. Just around the corner look for old church, you will be impressed how old it is dating to. I found 800s old cemetery inside the church.
Lovely, very historic city. Beautiful waterfront at the Old Stone Bridge. Absolutely enchanting Christmas market at Thurn and Taxis.
