Stayed here one night. Staff at check in were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and well laid out with a view over looking the highway. Road noise was low. Like with all hotel rooms here I find the rooms are very warm at night even with a window open. They provide a hefty duvet when all is needed is a light top sheet. If you are a very sensitive sleeper I would strongly suggest bringing your own pillow as pillows are often very soft and puffy and also get very warm when sleeping on. I asked for a medium pillow and they had none. I found this bed comfortable for my back. I had an ok sleep. The morning breakfast set a record for best food spread. I was able to try a number of local items like sardines and herring and marinated salmon as well as a shrimp and egg salad. Location was easy to find and get to as well. There is also ample free parking in front and out back. Yes... I would recommend staying here.

Absolutely fantastic hotel and definate bang for buck. Excellent friendly and knowledgeable hotel staff. Middle of town location all basic shops are within walking distance. Clean fresh updated rooms and beautiful view from our window. Bar has happy hours between 1700 to 1900 with drinks at 50% off. Highly recommended!
I had the breakfast buffet (lost count after 6-7 croissants). Good variety to accommodate many different preferences. Huge portion for Icelandic standards. The salad and the fish/chips were delicious.
Not much choice in this area. The kids enjoyed the pizza. Also the Indian dish was ok. Super friendly and efficient service. I recommend eating there if you make a stop here. Bit there are way better restaurants e.g. in Höfn.
Room looks nice and is very clean. Staff was very friendly. Parking is on the back of the hotel. Bathroom is well equipped. Shower is great; warm water and enough pressure. Internetspeed is very poor, compared to other places in Iceland. Beds are comfy, two pillows are available.
Comfortable, clean and very friendly staff. Happy hour from 5-7pm is well attended and the restaurant has a very extensive and tasty menu. Reindeer Steak was fairly expensive for the 3 pieces of fillet.
Excellent hotel. While we were there they were trying to some exterior cleaning/repair which might be unsettling stopped as the night falls. The room is clean with great amenities - nice tea bags and shower gels, shampoo and conditioners from L'Occitane de Provence which smells divine. The heating in the room is adequate. The breakfast was a bit disappointing but wasn't that bad. Reception area is nice and warm. The hotel is in the middle of the town so it's perfect if you need to get some stuff for the road.
Excellent service and location. Beautiful sunset and got to see the northern lights from our room. Gorgeous horses. Impeccable facilities and rooms, very modern and super comfortable bedrooms. Walking distance to the lake.
