Incredible food and unreal low prices! I keep coming back and can’t get enough! The rotisserie chicken is so dang tasty. You’re definitely going to leave this place super full and super happy! I can’t wait to try the other items on the menu. Make sure to try their tamarind juice! This place is a MUST VISIT if you’re coming to Antigua.

I really want to like this place. I came here for lunch and there was a long line as it usually is. I realize now that the line is because of the prices rather than the taste of the food. It really is good high-quality and very fresh however I don’t think it’s very tasty or a great experience if you’re coming here and looking for a good meal. If you’re looking for quick and cheap and simple, it’s a good option. All the dishes come with beans and a drink and some sort of salad. But I was really disappointed with the vegetarian option as well as the meat. I would say come for the experience and the cheap food - it's what they do best. you have to go to the counter and place your order and pay. They give you a little table counter would you take and put on your table and someone comes over with your meal. Note that you have to buy everything in increments. There are lovely old ladies outside making fresh tortillas which are also quite delicious.

This place is very affordable and delicious. 30Q which is less than 4 USD. Chicken is roasted nicely, the breast was a little dry but skin was crispy. However, the real star of this dish and why I give this place 5 stars... THE POTATOES! They let the chicken juice drip onto the potatoes and they add garlic and salt on it. It was literally the best potatoes I’ve had. I would go back and just ask for a plate of potatoes as a snack. It’s that dang good.

Wow! When the line to eat is out the door every single day and people have been waiting for over an hour to get in, you know you've found a gem of a place. The chicken is to die for. It's wood rotisserie chicken and the drippings fall into potatoes that are being roasted under the rotisserie delivering a burst of flavor. The food is cheap and did I mention, delicious? I have found my new favorite restaurant in Antigua.

Was recommended Rincon Típico by many blogs and backpackers and we were not disappointed. One thing I enjoy most about backpacking is eating with the locals and this is definitely the place to do it in Antigua. We ordered the roasted chicken plate and pepian soup. The chickens were roasted in a giant fire pit at the front of the restaurant. Tacos were made at the front entrance. Chicken was roasted perfectly with great seasoning and was super juicy. The roasted potatoes were THE BOMB. We've all had roasted potatoes before but these were hands down the best. The salad was your basic house salad but had a nice creamy dressing on it. The pepian soup was like a Mayan curry if I had to explain it. It had many roasted ground up spices and a mix of local vegetables stewed in it with chicken. It was nice to try one of their national dishes (pepian soup), and this was the place to try it, but I was a bit let down to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I love my spices, but I think it had too much cinnamon in it for my liking. This doesn't change my rating of this place at all though. It still gets 5 stars from me. Plastic lawn chairs and tables with plastic covering up top but this is the local joint what else do you expect! We got two roasted chicken dinners, the pepian soup, cervezas and free pour of their corn based drink (super refreshing) for 100QT.

So, during my trip in Antigua, I must have eaten breakfast and lunch here almost every day if not every other day. The breakfast are economical and regularly standard for any type of breakfast and I say that with a many thumbs up and highly recommendation. Its perfect to go a get a quick, cheap and deliciously nutritional meal. The lunches are out of this world. Again, I say standard but I mean above and beyond delicious. The chicken lunch with the potatoes and the little salad, I mean everything was so tasty and delicious and perfectly/wonderfully seasoned and the rosa the jamaica juice (hibiscus) and the horchata couldn't be any better. I've eaten here alone and with a group of friends. All and everything was enjoyable. If I'm ever in Guatemala again, I am definitely eating here again.
