I placed a shopping basket underneath the checkout station after removing my items from it, as is done at most other grocery stores. The cashier asked me to give it to her so she could place it at the front then before producing the receipt, made sure to go place a small ladder in the small space that I placed the basket. If you don't want people placing their used basket there just cover up the space prior to opening the lane. Don't condescendingly reprepand the customer for doing what they can to get the basket out of the way for you. It's also a good way to separate out the used baskets from the used ones so that you can have a chance to disinfect them during the middle of a pandemic. You just made me a strict HEB client again. They hire professional respectful people to work for them.

Tamales are made daily y'all. At the cash register, you can either buy on site or place your order.I ordered 2 dozen for a later date, paid, got my receipt and went home.Came back to pick them up at the time set. Omg... fresh, hot chicken Tamales out of this world.

The girl with the heavy makeup and very pretty pink nails in the \Barri\ Check Cashing/Loan section has a nasty attitude. And she honestly makes me feel like I am not wanted/welcomed to come in to this predominantly Mexican/Hispanic establishment. Little does she know I am half Mexican and born in NM my skin tone just so happens to be a tad darker. This was the second time I went in to load a prepaid card and the second time she was nasty and made sly comments. I have yet to actually buy food from this location but if the workers in the market are as nasty/evil spirited as this young lady I'd rather not! Tip to the owner: Make sure EVERYONE feels invited to shop/do business.

Good Latin grocery store. Meat is always fresh, reasonable prices. Good produce, Mexican food is always good. A bit on the crowded side today but everyone was wearing masks.

i think this place has one of the better pre-marinated meats for making tacos at home. their food court is pretty good too with a lot of different options.
