So great to see this boat in Newcastle. I don’t think you can fail to be amazed at the size of the vessel. COVID has transformed the lives of many and has been a tragic for the lives lost and businesses affected. Ships like these will sail again.

Should be a pleasant walk around the marina but dog mess is spread around all over, literally one of the worst places for it ever experienced. Disgusting. Lots of signs warning of fines just to add to the ambience, signs that clearly achieve nothing. Decent car park with plenty of spaces that had McDonalds food wrappers littered all around it. Very few bins available and the ones they did have were tiny, overflowing and in a poor state of repair. Not very much to look at in terms of architecture, sculptures or anything like that.
Lovely marina with plenty of boats to see. Some times you get bigger ones moored on the Tyne next to it. Great place for some fresh air and for a little stretch of the legs. Plenty of parking spaces too.
Great place to walk around that and the two local parks that lead off from the marina itself
This is a nice place to come and avoid the crowds of the seaside. Parking is free, there's a walk right around the Marina and it's wheelchair friendly mostly; not too sure about crossing the lock gates, it seems a little narrow. Good for kids. Fun to watch the fishing boats (tide permitting)and other small boats. We had a picnic in the car afterwards!
