This was one of if not the most pleasant dining experiences I've ever had. It starts with the small restaurant with only a counter for around six people. Everything here has the feeling of being this way for the last 20 years. The restaurant is run by an old and extremely friendly lady with next to no knowledge of English, but that is in no way negative. On the contrary, it adds to the experience watching her demonstrate if something is hot or spicy. I had the menu for 1890 yen and it was simple, but also simply delicious. It goes a long way of demonstrating how Tofu can taste completely different given various preparations. Light in taste, yet with a subtle depth and marvelous textures. I can only recommend this to any Western visitor for gaining an understanding how tofu is no substitute for meat, but an outstanding taste on its own. And the welcoming drink was a shot glass of one of the most tasty liquids I've ever head. tl,dr: A Japanese dining experience like in an enchanting movie. A great entry into the delicious world of tofu.

リーズナブルなプライスで京都感あふれる料理がいただけます
高い京料理が多いですが、リーズナブルな価格(1000〜3000位だったかな)で、美味しい京豆腐とか、ゆば料理を楽しめます。お店の人達も良心的でいい感じでしたし、美味しかった！本物の豆腐は美味しいですねえ。ゆばとチーズの揚物とか、ゆばご飯も美味しかった。銀閣寺を楽しんだ後にいい気持ちで京気分を味わうには、良いお店だと思いました。
