If you want to eat quality local Japanese food... but in an Australian-owned building, surrounded by Australian guests, and served by an Australian chef, and pay the usual high Australian price, then eat here. It was nice but felt like any high-end teppanyaki back home - only with well-sourced local ingredients. Don't get me wrong, it was very nice, and the chef was friendly and explained each course in detail. I was just expecting a more \local\ experience. It wasn't that kind of traditional place, very modern and very, well... Australian. 5 stars if you're ok with that, 3 stars if you're looking for a very traditional Japanese teppanyaki cultural experience.

Very good, fixed menu but it was great
Seems to be targeting a mix of fine-dining experience with teppanyaki, without any of the (admittedly American origin) flair of cooking in front of you on a hot plate. There are many other places in town that would offer much better value for money, and other places that might offer a similar 'western fine dining' experience. The food itself was fine and service great as all other Japanese restaurants are. Hard to recommend in comparison to the other options available in town.
We had a really great meal here. The whole family enjoyed the experience and all of the courses were delicious. Stand out dish was the beef. Highly recommended!
This place is amazing . Beef that was feed on apples is so unique. The atmosphere is also very cool . People are friendly of course as this is Nozawa where everyone is friendly. I am a fussy eater but this place caters to your every wish .. Thanks for a unique experience.
